The Mustangs got off to a very slow start, highlighted by missing 6 of 16 free throws in the first half, but their defense held strong by allowing 19 percent shooting in that first frame. That allowed them to eventually build 29-15 halftime lead, and 2 percent shooting allowed them to pull away in the second half.
Despite concerns up until game day due to the bruised knee suffered in the previous game, Nic Moore did indeed play and had 16 points in 32 minutes.
