SMU 80 UCSB 73 (OT)
SMU let a 15-point lead slip away and actually fell behind three times in the second half, as Santa Barbara’s three-point shooting carried them to forcing overtime. But the Mustangs’ free throw shooting, which hurt them in the last minutes of the second half, was good enough to help them pull away; SMU hit 9 of 12 foul shots in the extra period. Keith Frazier finished with 20 points, as four Mustang starters finished in double digits.
