SMU performed better offensively from the floor this game, but fouls ended up costing them as they dropped their second straight game, falling to the Hoosiers in Bloomington.
Indiana went 20 of 25 from the line, overcoming a night where the Mustangs held them to 36 percent shooting while shooting nearly 57 percent themselves.
James Blackmon was SMU’s biggest headache of the night, going 7-for-15 from the floor and 7-of-7 from the line to score 26 points.
It ruined a night where the Mustangs seemed to improve everywhere else. They out-rebounded Indiana 40-27, including allowing just nine offensive rebounds. Ben Moore again led the Mustangs with 16 points.
Larry Brown went with a different lineup, going with Justin Martin and Sterling Brown. They combined for 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
