MAVS 96 MIAMI 105
A poor shooting start to the night could not be overcome, as the Mavericks shot less than 37 percent for the first half and could not come back in losing to the Heat at the American Airlines Center.
Dallas has still not beaten Miami since clinching the 2011 NBA Finals in the sixth game.
Chandler Parsons struggled for the third straight night with just four points, but a good defensive effort was not there to bail out anything like that tonight. The Heat got 30 from Luol Deng and 20 each from Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.
Monta Ellis had 23; no one else had more than 17 for the Mavs.
It all amounted to Dallas falling at home for the first time this season despite putting up more shots and free throws and turning the ball over less than Miami.
Shooting better than 55 percent for the game, Miami led 83-67 after three, and a 29-22 run for Dallas to end it wasn’t enough.
