MAVERICKS 105 @ UTAH 82
This time, there was no letdown coming back from halftime.
Leading 52-44 after the first half, the Mavericks did not falter in the third, outscoring the Jazz 26-18 in that period to pull away at the EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City.
Dirk Nowitzki led the way with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
It was a second straight where Chandler Parsons was cold offensively, only managing five points, but it showed how he could contribute elsewhere. Parson’s defense allowed him to have a plus-minus of +21 for the game despite his own limited scoring numbers, with Derrick Favors being limited to six points on Utah’s end.
It was actually a great defensive night all around for Dallas, as no one on the Jazz scored more than 14 points.
