RIDERS 3 MIDLAND 6 TEXAS LEAGUE SOUTH DIVISION SERIES GAME 2
The RoughRiders saw this series tied in truly wild fashion, as a wild pitch and a controversial balk that led to manager Jason Wood and second baseman Odubel Herrera getting ejected helped the RockHounds break a 3-3 tie with three runs in the ninth inning.
Frisco had a 3-1 lead after five innings, but Midland responded immediately in the sixth with RBI hits from Connor Crumbliss and Kenny Wilson to tie the game. Jerad Eickhoff had allowed just one run and struck out the first two batters in the sixth, but Wood pulled him after he walked his fourth batter of the game, and the RockHounds proceeded to get to Ryan Rodebaugh and Joe Ortiz for another walk and the two hits.
Alec Asher is scheduled to oppose Shawn Haviland in Game Three on Friday as the Riders must take at least one of the next two games at Security Bank Ballpark.
