RIDERS’ LATEST ADDITION GETS A RUDE WELCOME
Jose Monegro, brought up from Low-A Hickory to replace the promoted Edwar Cabrera, was hit hard for seven runs in the third inning as San Antonio took the first game at Dr. Pepper Ballpark 8-4. Joe Ortiz pitched one inning, allowing two hits, on a rehab assignment as he comes back from a broken foot.
