BAD HOOKS DEFENSE LEADS TO GOOD RIDERS WIN
Corpus Christi errors in the sixth and seventh innings led to Frisco coming back and pulling out a 3-2 win at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, allowing them to salvage a split of the four-game series with the Hooks.
Trailing 2-1 in the sixth, the Riders put runners on first and second; both advanced on an error from Jon Meyer at third base, and then Guilder Rodriguez scored on Telvin Nash’s error at first.
Frisco took the lead when Hanser Alberto led off with a hit, went all the way to third on a bad pickoff attempt from pitcher Mike Hauschild and scored on Jake Skole’s hit.
