The Dallas Stars, clearly looking to add more scoring punch, have traded Alex Chiasson along with prospects Alex Guptill and Nicholas Paul and a 2015 second-round pick to Ottawa for Jason Spezza.
Spezza, who had been the Senators’ team captain, led all Ottawa forwards with 23 goals and 43 assists.
Spezza is not the only Senator coming to Dallas, as Ales Hemsky has signed a three-year contract with Dallas.
At the same time, the Stars have reportedly lost Staphane Robidas, signing a three-year contract with Toronto.
