Matt Shortall set the tone early with a three-run homer in the first inning, and it was pretty much all Mavericks from then on. UTA could face Troy again tomorrow at 12:30 if the Trojans beat Arkansas State and avoid elimination.

Preston Morrison went the distance for the fifth time, while the Frogs broke the game open with five runs in the eighth.

DALLAS BAPTIST 6 BRADLEY 5
The Patriots moved to 2-0 in the MVC tournament, with a three-run third inning being the key in allowing them to hang on. Brandon Koch and to go nearly three innings to save the game for Pau Voelker after the game was suspended the previous night and resumed today.
