The University of North Texas men’s basketball team could face NCAA penalties that includes forfeiture of games for violating a rule against Division I basketball teams playing more than four sub-DI opponents in a season.
The extra game that led to the violation came after UNT canceled its scheduled game at UTA in order go play more home games this season.
